Where can I find locations for COVID-19 vaccines and testing?
Vulnerable communities of color in the U.S. experience much higher rates of COVID-19 infection and hospitalization than other demographic groups. Therefore, we want you to have the latest information about where you can find COVID-19 testing, vaccination, and updated boosters.
Testing & Vaccination Locations
For current information about testing and vaccination locations (including booster shots) near you, please check out the list of sites for your county below. Because the impacts of COVID-19 vary from region to region, testing and vaccination locations are subject to change.
You can also use the national vaccine locator here.
Free At-Home COVID Tests
There are two opportunities available for individuals to receive free COVID-19 testing:
- Every household is now eligible to request up to four free COVID-19 test kits from the federal government following this link: COVIDtests.gov. To read more about this opportunity, please read this article.
- As of January 15, the Biden-Harris Administration is requiring all insurance companies to offer coverage and reimbursements for COVID-19 test kits purchased over the counter. To learn more about how to get your free tests, click here.
COVID-19 Vaccination
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone (ages 6 months and older) stay up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccines for their age group. For detailed information, visit the CDC’s COVID-19 vaccination information page.
Please note: People who are moderately or severely immunocompromised have different recommendations for COVID-19 vaccines.
COVID-19 Vaccine Bivalent Booster Shot
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend one updated (bivalent) booster dose:
- For everyone aged 5 years and older, if it has been at least 2 months since your last dose.
- For children aged 6 months to 4 years who completed the Moderna primary series and if it has been at least 2 months since their last dose. (There is no booster recommendation for children aged 6 months to 4 years who got the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine primary series.)
- People who did not receive Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Novavax, or Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen, such as people who were vaccinated abroad, have specific recommendations.
Please refer to the CDC’s COVID-19 vaccination information page for the best guidelines for you and/or your family.
If you are interested in learning more about the COVID-19 vaccine booster shot, please read this article and consult your local health department's website.
