How do I search for resources on the One Degree app?
There are two ways to search for community resources on the One Degree app: use the search bar or visual search. Both are great options, just depends on your preference.
Search Bar:
1. Open the One Degree app on your phone
2. Click “Log in” or “ Sign up” to go to the Homepage
3. Click on the “Search” tab at the bottom of the screen

4. Click on the search bar on top of the page and start typing the resource you're looking for. For example, you can search for food pantries, health clinics, legal assistance, or HIV testing.
5. Click "Search"
On the iPhone app, click “Search” on the top right of your screen, or “Done” on the keyboard to see results
On the Android app, click the search icon on the top right of your screen to see results
6. Change your location by clicking the small “x” to the right where it says “Current Location” and type in your address, neighborhood, city, county or state. You can even search by an organization name.
On the Android app, you can also view search results on a map by clicking the map icon on the top right of the search page. From the map view, click the list icon to return to the original view.
7. You did it! You're on a search page with a list of services (which we call Opportunities) that match your need. You can narrow down your search by Language, County, Community and/or Gender by selecting filter options on the top of the screen, under the "Search" bar.Learn more about filtering your search page here.
Visual Search:
1. Open the One Degree app on your phone
2. Click “Log in” or “Sign up” to go to the Homepage
3. From the Home page, select a category for the resource you’re looking for. For example, if you’re looking for a food pantry for you or your family, select “Food”. When you select a category, the page will change to show a list of subcategories you can choose from to narrow your search.
4. Select a subcategory to narrow down your search, or select “See all ...” if the available categories don’t apply (you may need to scroll down to view the “See all”... option). "See all..." is only available on the iPhone app.
5. Change your location by clicking the small “x” to the right where it says “Current Location” and type in your address, neighborhood, city, county or state. You can even search by an organization name.
