How do I know if my client has created a One Degree account?

One Degree is HIPAA compliant, so we do not automatically share any client information, including whether they have created a One Degree account. Information can only be shared with a supporter (typically a Pro member that works at a nonprofit organization) if the client adds you as a supporter from their end.

Your clients are under no obligation to sign up for a One Degree account and you can continue to make referrals to them regardless. We do not pester or spam your clients with unrelated communication. If you choose to send the referrals you make to your clients through email or text message, they will receive notifications about those referrals.
